This is a capstone project.
Blood Money is a cartoony 3D first-person harvesting and cleaning game with a spooky twist, where the player works as a janitor forced into organ-harvesting shifts at a mysterious hotel that sells human parts to monsters. The game mixes exploration, timed mini-games, and resource management, and the current build represents a vertical slice of the core gameplay loop.
I played a major role in shaping the visual direction of the project and bringing ideas from concept to implementation. I visualized gameplay ideas through 2D concepts, designed characters, and created 3D models, animations, and in-engine setups to support the vertical slice. While the project is still in progress and limited in scope, it demonstrates our core mechanics and tone, as well as my ability to adapt quickly, problem-solve, and deliver under tight deadlines.
Created the initial cover art that established the game’s tone
Developed a visual style guide and reference sheets for characters, environments, and UI
Visualized gameplay ideas through 2D concepts based on team discussions
Designed guest characters and the hotel owner character
Modeled, rigged, and animated the player’s first-person hands
Implemented hand animations and interactions in Unity
Modeled the main guest character and a separate corpse version with unique textures
Reworked the guest model into separated body parts to support organ-harvesting gameplay
Prepared skull and brain models for a hammer-based mini-game with multiple damage states
Rigged and animated the guest character for in-game movement
Modeled the hotel owner character for the vertical slice
Imported, set up, and implemented all created assets in Unity
Polished and improved existing UI assets to better match the game’s tone
Created the game trailer and contributed to project presentations
Actively supported the team, attended all meetings, and stepped in during crunch when needed
